How to use
At night, apply 1 - 2 drops to clean, dry skin, ideally 2 - 3 times a week to start. Gently spread or pat it in (avoid the eye and lip areas). Follow with a nourishing moisturizer - for best results, The Ultimate Night Repair Supercream is recommended right after to lock in the power of retinol. Do not layer this serum with other exfoliating acids in the same routine to keep things gentle. As your skin builds tolerance, you can gradually increase usage to nightly. Crucial: Use sunscreen daily, as retinol makes skin-sensitive. Avoid use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

What it does

Boosts skin renewal
Retinol is the gold-standard for speeding up cell turnover. This serum nudges sluggish skin cells back into action, helping to shed dull layers and reveal fresher, smoother skin beneath. Over time, you’ll notice a refinement in texture and a healthy vibrance that wasn’t there before.
Reduces fine lines
By promoting collagen production and repairing damage, it softens the look of fine lines and emerging wrinkles. It’s like an overnight editor for your skin, subtly “airbrushing” lines so you wake up to a more rested complexion.
Evens out skin tone
Niacinamide steps in to fade dark spots or post-acne marks and to calm any redness. The result? A brighter, more uniform skin tone (sans blotches) that makes your complexion look younger and more balanced.
Strengthens and refines
The combination of Niacinamide and NAD+ supports your skin’s barrier and resilience, mitigating potential irritation from retinol. So while retinol renovates, Niacinamide and NAD+ act like the foremen ensuring the work is done safely and efficiently. Skin becomes stronger, clearer, and more elastic

Why it works

Retinol (0.2%)
A vitamin A derivative renowned for its anti-aging prowess. At 0.2%, it’s potent enough to stimulate collagen production and accelerate cell turnover, but low enough to minimize irritation for retinol newcomers. It helps smooth out wrinkles and fade spots, essentially teaching your skin to behave youthfully again.
Niacinamide
Included at a significant level alongside retinol to enhance results and reduce potential irritation. Niacinamide boosts barrier function (counteracting retinol’s drying tendency), calms inflammation, and further tackles uneven tone and texture. This tag-team of retinol + niacinamide is a one-two punch against aging and damage.
NAD+
Works behind the scenes at the cellular level, supporting DNA repair and cellular energy. Since retinol is pushing cells to renew, NAD+ ensures they have the energy to do so effectively and correctly. (It’s like the night shift supervisor that makes sure all that cellular turnover yields healthy, well-formed new cells).
Dimethicone base
The serum is formulated in a silky, slow-release emollient base (you’ll notice dimethicone high-up on the ingredient list). This not only gives a smooth, non-sticky feel, but also helps modulate the retinol release, reducing the chance of irritation and ensuring the actives penetrate steadily.
Gradual approach
By formulating at 0.2%, this serum aligns with the intentional philosophy - no unnecessary overload. It allows your skin to reap retinol’s benefits over time without the drama (flaking, redness) that stronger retinoids can cause. Consistency beats intensity, and this serum embodies that.

FAQS

What does this serum do?
This serum supports overnight cellular repair with 0.2% retinol, strengthens the barrier with niacinamide, and boosts skin energy and renewal with NAD+, helping improve texture, tone and early signs of ageing.
Is 0.2% retinol suitable for beginners?
Yes. It’s a gentle, well-tolerated strength that delivers visible results with minimal irritation, making it ideal for first-time retinol users or anyone wanting a balanced, non-aggressive formula.
Can I use it every night?
Start with 2–3 nights a week, then gradually increase to nightly use as your skin adjusts. Sensitive skin may prefer alternate nights long-term.
Can I combine it with other serums or actives?
Avoid layering with strong AHAs/BHAs or other retinoids in the same routine. You can safely pair it with hydration serums, ceramides, peptides and niacinamide. Always use sunscreen in the morning.
Is it suitable for sensitive or acne-prone skin?
Yes, but introduce slowly. Niacinamide and NAD+ help buffer retinol’s intensity, making it more suitable for sensitive, oily and acne-prone skin with reduced chances of irritation.
When will I start seeing results?
Expect smoother texture and clarity in 3–4 weeks, with improvements in fine lines, pigmentation and overall skin quality in 8–12 weeks with consistent use.
Can I use this serum if I'm already using exfoliating treatments or vitamin C?
Yes, but alternate them. Use exfoliating acids or vitamin C in the morning, and keep your retinol serum for the night to avoid sensitivity and maximise results.
